UCSB Hosts 10th Annual AYSO Skills Day and AYSO Banner Night

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara men’s soccer team held its 10th annual American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Skills Day this past Aug. 18 at Harder Stadium.

The highly touted Division 1 college team invited all AYSO-affiliated players, coaches, and parents for a three-hour skills clinic while UCSB coaching staff provided coaching clinics. This soccer-filled weekend is an initiative created to continue the Gauchos’ strong tradition of community involvement.

The event has consistently brought in over 1,500 attendees seeking to learn new skills and tricks from the 10x Big West Conference Champions. All attendees left with newly learned moves, promo items and autographs from the UCSB team.

UCSB will also be having another AYSO community event this weekend for their annual AYSO Banner Night for their match against UC Irvine.

This night will take place at Harder Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 – providing free entrance to players in their AYSO jerseys, a parade for teams to show off their banners at halftime and much more.
