TORRANCE, Calif. – December 17, 2018 – The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and AYSO United are pleased to announce that Firmiano Ribeiro will assume the position of Director of Coaching for AYSO United Santa Clarita.
Ribeiro joins AYSO United having previously worked with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Program at Los Angeles Premier FC in Southern California. He also spent time in the MLS as a member of the Technical Staff for the New England Revolution.
“I am excited to be part of AYSO United and especially the community of Santa Clarita,” shared Ribeiro. “There is a tremendous foundation to build upon, and I look forward to supporting the current coaches and local AYSO leadership in delivering the AYSO and AYSO United core philosophies.”
In addition to his extensive coaching background, Ribeiro enjoyed a successful playing career with Goias Esporte Clube in his native Brazil, before attending New Haven University, where he served as team captain.
