TIPS

• Find jobs that can be done as buddies. For example, pairs set out and collect the cones together.
• Rotate jobs weekly: cone helper, break captain, timekeeper.

• Offer two games and let the team choose.
• Ask “How could you get past the defender?” and let players try their ideas.
• Ask the team to invent one new rule for a game, then play it.

• Ask “What did you try today?” and praise effort, not who was best.
• Ask “What happened when you…?” so players connect actions to results.
• A player gives the end-of-practice shout-out to a teammate who tried something new.

• A rotating leader facilitates warm-up (skip, shuffle, backpedal).
• After the game, ask “How did we show good sportsmanship and respect today?”
