Regional Commissioner Training

This past October 4th-5th, Sections 1, 10, 11 hosted 21 new Regional Commissioners for RC Training featuring opportunities to discuss and plan the AYSO Experience that best fits their Regions and communities. RCs also discussed strategies for recruiting, retaining volunteers, and staffing their Regional Boards in order to continue the tradition of AYSO programming that fulfills the vision of providing world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. Fiduciary and Risk Management responsibilities, Emergency Preparedness, and Conflict Resolution were also covered.

“The training was a long drive but absolutely worth it. It strengthened my confidence and showed me I’m better equipped than I realized. Hearing other new Regional Commissioners share similar challenges was reassuring and inspiring; it reminded me that we’re all part of a strong, supportive network across AYSO.”

“I really liked the way each of the topics were presented. The presenters used a variety of group work and prompts to keep us engaged and interacting with each other. It created an environment where we were not only learning, but getting to know each other as well.”
