Safe Haven Changes 2013

After Monday night, February 25, a major system upgrade to eAYSO will take effect for volunteer form processing in order to align the system functions with our business rules. These changes are critical to supporting our Safe Haven policies for protecting our children, volunteers and Regions.

eSign Becomes Default for Volunteer Applications

Electronic Signature, or eSign for short, has gone from a pilot project just a couple years ago to a standard service of eAYSO today. Among the most valuable benefits of eSign is it helps AYSO meet the goal of enhancing child safety by improving the ability to perform faster and more complete Volunteer background checks.

In conjunction with the Electronic Records and Signatures in Commerce Act of 2000, AYSO is now able to accept electronic signatures, eliminating the burden of providing secure, confidential storage of volunteer applications and player registration forms at the Region, Area and Section levels. Electronic signatures will also enable fast, efficient search and retrieval of signed registration forms in the event of legal or liability issues.
