3 Tips for Executing Your Region's Refund Policy
When dealing with your Region's refund policy, one of the trickier parts of AYSO registration can be clearly communicating that policy to your Region's parents.
To help prepare you for a future registration event, The Commish
has come up with three easy refund policy tips:
1. Publicize it well.
Once your Region Board decides on a refund policy, it's very important that it's publicized in a variety of ways. The first step is to make sure that refund information is displayed prominently on your Region's website. Also, consider having a poster detailing your policy at your registration event and/or sending out a refund policy reminder email to all parents after registration.
2. Stick to it.
Once you decide on a refund policy, make sure that it's communicated and executed consistently. If one parent is given preferential treatment, word can spread and lead to a group of unhappy customers (parents).
3. Plan 2-4 week time frame.
If your Region chooses to give refunds, set a reasonable time frame for when requested refunds can be given. The AYSO National Office recommends that refund requests be filled within 2-4 weeks.
